That's because one side features the finest Alpine calf skin in a conventional, smooth texture while the other has been tanned to produce our iconic Togo texture, a sign of understated elegance that always makes a lasting impression.

Our Togo leather is a premium full-grain calfskin known for its natural, varied grain produced by shrinking the entire hide rather than stamping or embossing. More casual than smooth leather, it nevertheless captures the versatile and timeless quintessence of stately black, and is more formal than our shrunken bison leathers.
