To ensure the finest hides possible, the leather for this wallet comes exclusively from English bulls. Hides from cows can become stretched or marred after giving birth; bull hides have no such defects and offer a higher yield of the exceptional-quality hides we demand, which require no artificial correction.

Heritage Italian Tannery

Hides of such quality require a comparable tannery, and we found one in Italy, home to some of the world’s greatest leather makers. In operation for over a century, this tannery produces only the finest open-pore leathers, and is furthermore dedicated to doing so sustainably, with fair labor practices and environmental protections at the forefront of its ethos. Our Montecristo leather is crafted to provide a robust yet flexible feel, with a subtle pored textured. From afar, the pores are evenly distributed, but a closer inspection reveals an intricate pattern that captivates the eye.
