Brilliant White Boxcalf

Nothing looks cooler, or keeps you cooler, than an elegant white belt, the ideal complement for boat shoes, sandals, bucks, or any casual yet refined footwear. Designed for summer, this side of the belt has been stitched with white thread to emphasize its overall white-out effect for a clean, shining appearance.

This leather was tanned by the same German tannery that makes our boxcalf and Togo leathers. They only utilize Alpine calf hides, providing the softest and supplest leather with the finest grain, and because there are fewer insects in the high, cool mountain regions, the skins have considerably fewer blemishes.

Undyed Natural Leather

When something is perfect, why mess with it? We were so struck by the light tan color of this leather after tanning that we decided not to dye it. The result is a memorable belt, emphasized by contrast white stitching, that will develop a beautiful and truly unadulterated patina over time.  

It is a house rule at this German tannery to only work with leather cut from the shoulder of the bull. The shoulder cut is well-suited to leather belts because it has a grain and overall dermal consistency that doesn't warp, stretch, or crease even when under constant flex.

Because of where on the shoulder this leather is harvested from, a light streak or rippling may be visible in the leather. This is not a defect, but an essential part of the natural allure of this untreated, open-pore aniline-dyed leather. ,
